Colorado House Bill 25-1312 poses a serious threat to parental rights. Immediate action is required.

HB 1312 erodes parental and other constitutional rights by:

• preferring the transgender affirming parent in a divorce proceeding,
• requiring public schools to allow a child to identify and dress as any gender they desire, and
• labeling “deadnaming” and “misgendering” as discrimination punishable by fine.

This sets a dangerous precedent for parental rights and could influence determinations of what is in the “best interests of the child.”

The bill has already passed the Colorado House and has been scheduled for a Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing tomorrow on Wednesday, April 30th at 1:30pm.
