Obama Administration Admits to Prompting Narrow Media Bias on the Issue of Vaccine Safety

In an interview with Reader’s Digest, Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, admitted that the Obama administration has put pressure on various media outlets to deny equal weight to those in the medical and scientific community who encourage individuals to carefully scrutinize vaccinations being offered to the public. Not only does this signify the administration’s negative attitude toward parents who seek to make informed medical decisions on behalf of their children, it reflects a disregard for fair reporting among the free press.

[Kathleen Sebelius]: “There are groups out there that insist that vaccines are responsible for a variety of problems despite all scientific evidence to the contrary. We have reached out to media outlets to try to get them to not give the views of these people equal weight in their reporting to what science has shown and continues to show about the safety of vaccines.”
