Heritage Defense has been privileged to represent numerous families who have found themselves victims of an unnecessary CPS investigation. 

Many of these families have sent us notes about their experience with Heritage Defense.

Here are just a few of the many testimonials we have received:

We simply cannot put a monetary value on the care, dedication, and passion shown by Heritage Defense for our family. We will be forever indebted. Heritage Defense is a Godsend to all homeschooled Christian families.

The Weatherford family:

All praise, honor, and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. When our homeschool family began fighting against the destruction of our preborn neighbors at local abortion facilities in 2016, we counted the cost and knew that we would be the target of false accusations. 

After hearing about Heritage Defense from other brethren on the frontlines, we decided to become members almost two years ago. The inevitable finally happened on the 4th of July this year. Pro-abortion activists made a false report that day, and by that evening, a CPS worker was demanding to see our children or they would report us for kidnapping our children to the authorities. 

On July 4, I didn’t expect anyone to be able to help us, but knowing we were members of Heritage Defense, it was our only option. When I called, I first spoke with a representative. He listened to everything I was telling him with concern for my family and contacted one of their attorneys to help guide us through this traumatic experience. 

The attorney called me back immediately and spent almost two hours on the phone guiding me through all the texts and legalities with the CPS worker. All this on a day he should have been spending with his family. He cared enough for my family and our situation to sacrifice two hours of this holiday. We are eternally grateful. 

In the following weeks, Heritage Defense acquired a local lawyer who stood next to us as CPS interrogated my entire family and was our liaison with the state. After two months, CPS closed the case with no findings. My wife said the thought of our children being taken away was the most stressful thing she has ever had to go through in her life. 

We had the opportunity to meet the Heritage Defense attorney who assisted us this summer and personally thank him. He is a great man of God, and I am thankful to call him a brother. Knowing that Heritage Defense is there for us is an incredible blessing of God. I don’t know how things would have turned out without them. May God bless the whole team at Heritage Defense.

We were amazed at how smoothly everything went and praised the Lord for His protection. It is something no parent expects to happen (especially being reported by family members), but we are so thankful we were well prepared and ready, thanks to Heritage Defense!

The Travis family:

Heritage Defense has been there when we’ve needed them, not once, but twice.

The most recent time was in February of 2023 when our son was hospitalized for mental health reasons, and someone at the hospital reported us to the Children’s Division because of things our son had said.  These were things that were found to be either not abusive or had been dealt with previously in August 2021 when this same son had his first mental health admission, and someone at the hospital reported us because of things he had said.

The contact information for Heritage Defense is taped inside the door of a piece of furniture near our front door. It’s handy when the Children’s Division shows up at the door. It’s also one of my phone’s favorites, so I can quickly call them.

For both instances, we had the same local attorney. All contact was over the phone, by text, or email. He was there to listen, calm fears, and reassure.  When the Children’s Division lady wanted to walk through our home, he refused. He told her she could lay eyes on the other minor in our home but could not interview her. This attorney communicated with the Children’s Division on our behalf, and when the Children’s Division lady came to our home to finish up business with us, he was on the phone with us the entire time, both times. I much appreciated that we had the same attorney for both cases. I also appreciate that it didn’t require any in-person visits to the attorney’s office because our lives are busy.

I know with Heritage Defense that I am not alone when this sort of thing happens. My son has many challenges, both physical and mental, and we could find ourselves in this position again in the future. If or when that happens, I will call Heritage Defense, knowing that they will be there for me. It is money very well spent!

It was a really good feeling just being able to pick up the phone and call a lawyer for $19 a month. I do not know why you guys do not charge more. You cannot even put a price on it. If we didn’t have you guys, we would have been powerless, and who knows what would have happened.
