Top News: Homeschooling on the rise
Homeschooling in the U.S. continues to rise. Reasons range from parents wanting to spend more time together as a family to protecting their children from the defiling content being taught in public school systems. Seattle Public Schools is even considering shutting down some schools because so many students have been withdrawn to homeschool.
“‘Initially it started because I didn’t want to send them to school in masks,’ Sarra Burnett, who started homeschooling in the fall 2021, said. ‘But then it kind of became more about how their education, what they were teaching the kids was changing. And I didn’t want to have to undo some of the things they were learning.’”
Heritage Defense is committed to protecting parents’ right to home educate their children free from government interference. Families are sometimes groundlessly reported to CPS simply because their children are homeschooled, with some false allegation of abuse or neglect being used as a pretext. We provide peace of mind for our member families through 24/7 access to our attorneys for when the social worker is at the door and any legal representation needed beyond.
